Spot Welder - 2nd Shift Job Description As a Spot Welder for the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for continuously spot welding components in accordance with work order instructions and customer drawing specifications. This role requires diversification in production, including holding jigs to meet required dimensional specifications, setting up spot welds to the appropriate heat, tip, and AC forge delay, and ensuring setups are acceptable based on visual and strength tests. Responsibilities Perform spot weld operations as required according to drawing specifications. Change and dress electrodes. Sand spot welds. Utilize rigs equipment for positioning work. Conduct self-inspections during the process to ensure quality. Handle parts and materials properly to avoid injury or product damage. Carry out maintenance tasks related to welding inspections and manufacturing environments. Essential Skills Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with sheet metal work. Capability to stand continuously for 8+ hours. Ability to lift 25 lbs with minimal walking. Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to be trained and develop skill sets. Proficient in basic shop math. Manual dexterity and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and ability to work in a manufacturing setting. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
