What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as Engineer of Record on structural design projects
- Provide expert guidance on structural systems, design standards, and code compliance
- Communicate directly with clients and serve as a technical liaison throughout all project phases
- Lead pre-design services: planning, programming, data gathering, conceptual design, and system selection
- Deliver complete structural construction documents: drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates
- Author technical reports based on studies, structural analyses, and condition assessments
- Provide quality control and peer reviews of work prepared by other engineers
- Support construction phase services including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals/shop drawings, and site visits with reporting
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural design
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development across the structural group
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
- Licensed PE or SE in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months of hire)
- 15+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering, including vertical building structures
- Deep knowledge of structural systems, analysis methods, and construction materials
- Proficient in structural design software and comfortable working in Revit (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with both design/bid/build and design/build delivery methods
- Experience working with federal agencies and knowledge of applicable design codes and standards is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and project coordination
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple priorities
Essential Physical Functions:
- Sit/stand at a desk or computer
- Walk, stoop, stand and move around job sites
- Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent communication via phone, video, or in-person meetings
- Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
- Some project-based travel may be required
