About the Role
As a Project Engineer I/II (Low-voltage), you will be responsible for thecoordination, planning, and execution of project operations to ensureefficiency, accuracy, and alignment with project goals. Assists with variousadministrative and operational tasks throughout the project lifecycle, helpingto maintain schedules, documentation, communication, and compliance with companystandards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following are the duties associated with being a Cochran Project Engineer.Other duties may be assigned.
Gather necessary details to ensure accurate material selection, dimensions,and incorporation of owner- or third party-supplied informationMaintain and track all jobsite documentation, including RFIs, ASIs, changeorders, and relevant updatesCoordinate with other trades to align efforts and manage associateddocumentation effectivelyPrepare and submit project submittals, schedules, and operations andmaintenance (O&M) manualsEstimate, quantify, and draft change orders as required throughout theproject lifecycle (examples of projects: low-voltage, telecommunications, AudioVisual, Security, CCTV, Access Controls, etc.)Monitor and document quality assurance procedures, including maintaining QAlogs and addressing issuesParticipate in project meetings as assigned, supporting communication anddocumentation of decisions
To perform the job of Project Engineer II successfully, an individual shoulddemonstrate the following additional duties in addition to all of the ProjectEngineer I requirements.
Manage the full lifecycle of material and tool procurement, includingordering, releasing, receiving, and tracking to support project needs.Update and distribute revised drawings to ensure all stakeholders haveaccess to the most current project documentationEstimate project impacts, prepare documentation, and maintain accuratetracking of all change ordersDevelop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures, including themaintenance of QA logs and resolution of identified issue

We are looking for someone with the following competencies:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety protocols, operatinginstructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports andcorrespondence. Able to speak clearly and effectively before groups of customersor employees. Fluency in written and spoken English requiredStrong ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units ofmeasure, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsCapable of applying common sense to carry out written, oral, ordiagram-based instructions and solve problems involving several concretevariables within standardized situationsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheet software andbasic project management applicationsNo Certificates or Licenses requiredWork may occasionally involve proximity to moving mechanical parts andexposure to outdoor conditions on active construction sitesHigh school diploma required. A two-year college or university certificateis preferred. Alternatively, two years of related experience and/or training, oran equivalent combination of education and experience, is acceptable

Compensation (Pay Range): $55,000-$70,000 DOE for PE1 (non-exempt),$70,000-$84,000 DOE for PEII (exempt)
An employee's compensation level within the range will be based on severalfactors, including but not limited to geographic location, experience, relevanteducation, qualifications, skills, organizational needs, and performance. *Bonuspay based on percentage of salary, adjusted by company and individualperformance.
