Cloud Distributed Systems Lead Architect

Our client is searching for a Lead/Architect Software Engineer that has extensive experience building and designing distributed systems. This work can be remote and all candidates must work through an approved vendor of TEKsystems or on a W2 basis for TEKsystems. Duties: Lead architectural design for your team's services and their interactions with broader platform Make critical technical decisions on implementation approaches, technology choices, and system design Establish team-level engineering standards while aligning with broader organizational practices Technical Requirements: Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm Data Systems: SQL, NoSQL, Kafka/Kinesis, Elasticsearch Observability: Distributed tracing, metrics, logging (Datadog, Prometheus, Cloudwatch) Practices: CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, Test-Driven Development, Integration Testing, Performance Testing Architecture: Microservices, event-driven architecture, API gateways, service mesh, data mesh Security: OAuth/OIDC, encryption at rest/transit, zero-trust principles
