Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to assist with the installation and integration of packaging equipment into our facility. This role involves working closely with another engineer to ensure successful implementation and operation of the equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the functionality and usage of the equipment to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for equipment installation.
  • Write and execute Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) documentation.
  • Plan and facilitate maintenance for the equipment.
  • Train operators on machine usage.
  • Oversee the specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, qualification, and hand-over of capital and change projects.
  • Select and manage professional consultants, contractors, and suppliers for project implementation.
  • Develop project requirements, allocate resources, and plan to meet capital program goals.
  • Monitor projects for scope, schedule, budget, and risk variations.
  • Communicate project status to all stakeholders, from front-line personnel to management.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in equipment engineering and project engineering.
  • Proficiency in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Expertise in writing and executing IQ/OQ documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or food and beverage industry.
  • Experience in qualifying and installing packaging equipment.
  • Experience with documentation practices, including writing user requirements, documentation for FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), equipment qualification and verification, and change control documentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
