Concrete Worker - Electrical Industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Worker to support electrical construction projects by performing concrete-related tasks such as forming, reinforcing, finishing, and repairing concrete structures. This role is essential in preparing foundations and enclosures for electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and utility settings. Work in compliance with safety protocols to ensure quality and timely project completion.

Responsibilities:

Prepare work sites for concrete installation, set up forms, molds, scaffolding, barricades, and layout stakes.Build and set forms for concrete pads, duct banks, utility vaults, and equipment foundations.Mix, pour, and finish concrete to required specifications and tolerances.Install embedded conduit and grounding systems within concrete structures.Install rebar, wire mesh, expansion joints; ensure proper alignment and placement for reinforcementEnsure proper curing and protection of concrete surfaces, apply sealants or waterproofing compounds, polish or texture surfaces as needed..Assist electricians and other trades in coordinating concrete work with electrical installations.Operate hand and power tools such as saws, mixers, vibrators, and trowels.Maintain a clean and safe work environment and carry out site clean-upAdheres to all safety protocols (OSHA, PPE usage) stay alert of hazards and report unsafe conditions.

Qualifications:

Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory Experience: 2+ years in concrete work, preferably in electrical or utility construction.Skills: Ability to read blueprints and site plans; knowledge of concrete mixing ratios and finishing techniques.Technical skills: Proficiency with hand tools (trowels, floats, screeds) and power tools/machinery (mixers, vibrators, saws)Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varied conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.Safety & TeamworkFamiliarity with safety regulations, PPE, and hazard awareness.Good communication, reliability, attendance, and the ability to collaborate with other trades and supervisors.Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 preferred; any relevant trade certifications are a plus.Teamwork: Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with electricians and project teams.Must Have:Valid driver's license with a clean record and dependable transportation.Strong attention to detail and quality finishCompany DescriptionJA Lee (www.jalee.us) is a fast-growing provider of electrical and wireless infrastructure construction services.
