Diesel Mechanic Shop Foreman - Decatur, IL ($35.00/hr) Location: Decatur, Illinois Position Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour Industry: Heavy-Duty Truck & Equipment Maintenance About the Role We're seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance team in Decatur, IL. If you're a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for keeping fleets running smoothly, this is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the diesel mechanic shop Assign tasks and oversee work performed by mechanics and technicians Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues, electrical systems, and hydraulics Ensure timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance Maintain safety standards and compliance with company policies Train and mentor junior mechanics Communicate with fleet managers and vendors regarding parts and service needs Maintain accurate service records and work orders Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic; supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair software Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid CDL (preferred but not required) ASE certifications a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly wage of $35.00/hr Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan options Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
