Paint Prep Laborer $22 an hour Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as paint prep laborers. You will play a crucial role in preparing parts for our paint line, ensuring high-quality results in our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Lift and load parts onto the paint line. Lift and unload parts off the paint line. Visually inspect metal parts for previous damage and ensure prior steps are complete. Clean, mask, plug, and fixture components prior to paint and powder coat application. Collaborate with others to prep parts properly. Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized. Operate batch ovens according to work order specifications. Inspect parts after the coating is complete. Unmask, unplug, and package components as needed. Complete all paperwork accordingly. Essential Skills 1-2 years of manufacturing experience in racking/general labor. Ability to lift 30-50 lbs consistently. Willingness to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Flexibility to work overtime, including Fridays and occasionally Saturdays. Good attitude and strong culture fit. Additional Skills & Qualifications Stable work history with a strong resume. Experience with production, general labor, racking, paint prep, painting, sanding, and power tools. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large sheet metal manufacturing facility where you will handle various sheet metal products. The environment can be hot, especially in the summer, and the work can be somewhat physical due to the size of the parts. The position is for the 2nd shift, operating from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays and occasionally Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
