Backfill/Backhoe Operator

We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly backhoes, and will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, and excavators on construction sites.
Perform excavation tasks, including digging trenches, grading land, and moving materials as required.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Collaborate with construction teams to execute project plans efficiently and safely.
Manage the operation of additional machinery such as dump trucks, graders, water trucks, and tankers when necessary.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment on-site.
Assist with horizontal drilling and paving tasks as needed.
Skills
Familiarly with trench work (Sewer, Water)
Looking for experience union or non union operators
CDL is a plus, not required
Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
Proficiency in backhoe operation along with other heavy machinery including
Familiarity with construction site practices and procedures.
Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, graders, and water trucks.
