Job Title: Senior Construction Project Manager

Job Description

Actalent is seeking to hire a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to lead and manage large-scale projects, ensuring successful completion within the required scope of work. This role involves overseeing labor resources, coordinating with estimators and project assistants, and managing cost tracking reports for electrical construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the limits to the required scope of work and determine when a change order is necessary.

  • Comprehend and execute closeout requirements effectively.

  • Develop and appropriately utilize a man-loading project schedule for a Union Contractor.

  • Evaluate labor resource needs using cost to complete, job cost tracking reports, and project schedules.

  • Set up and manage job cost tracking reports.

  • Participate in all bid closings.

  • Review the budget with the estimator.

  • Assist in obtaining and assembling timely submittals with project assistants.

  • Review all submittals and maintain a monthly submittal log, expediting or resubmitting as needed.

  • Coordinate and assign responsibilities for change proposals, working with field leaders to define and clarify scopes of work.

  • Review proposals for proper pricing and presentation, ensuring timely submission of change order pricing within contract time frames and customer constraints.

  • Perform project cost to complete and financial forecasting.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in construction, construction management, and project management for electrical contractors.

  • Proficiency in using Bluebeam, Accubid, Revit MEP, and Spectrum software.

  • Experience with large projects, particularly in mission-critical environments, with budgets over $30 million.

  • Strong budgeting and financial forecasting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in a Project Manager role for an Electrical Contractor.

  • Background in electrical apprenticeship, journeyman roles, project foremen/general foreman, mentorship, or a degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
