Carpenter

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team on projects with various contractors throughout the Portland metropolitan area. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in constructing and renovating structures, ensuring they are built to specifications and meet high-quality standards.

Carpenter Responsibilities:

Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials required and layout for projects.

Measure, cut, and shape materials such as lumber, plywood, and other building materials according to specifications.

Install and assemble structural framework, including walls, floors, and roofs.

Construct and install wooden frameworks, partitions, and temporary supports for pouring concrete.

Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as contractors and engineers, to ensure project goals are met.

Inspect and repair existing structures, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Comply with safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform other duties as assigned by lead, supervisor, foreman or other person in charge on site

Carpenter Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry.

Must have own tools.

Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
