Experienced Pipe Layer - Water & Sewer Lines

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Pipe Layer to join our construction crew. This position involves installing water and sewer lines according to project specifications, ensuring proper grade, alignment, and jointing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in underground utility work and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Install and align water and sewer pipes in trenches according to blueprints and specifications.

• Prepare trenches and bedding for pipe placement.

• Use laser or transit levels to ensure proper grade and alignment.

• Connect pipes using appropriate techniques (e.g., push-on joints, mechanical joints, solvent welding).

• Backfill and compact trenches after pipe installation.

• Work with equipment operators, laborers, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of pipe laying experience in water and sewer line installation.

• Knowledge of underground utility installation and safety procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

• Proficient in using lasers, transits, and other layout tools.

• Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Reliable transportation to job sites.
