Job Title: Equipment Mover

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Equipment Mover responsible for uncrating and placing machinery used in the manufacturing of batteries. This role is essential in ensuring that equipment is properly positioned for optimal production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Unload, load, and unstuff cargoes from trailers or shipping containers.

• Uncrate, crate, unpack, pack, and move cargoes using manual or powered hand tools and material handling equipment.

• Relocate and roughly set cargoes to designated locations on the production floor utilizing manual or powered hand tools, manual toe jacks, and material handling equipment such as skates, dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive role.

• Willingness to obtain an OSHA 10 certification.

• Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction or physical labor.

• Ability to walk 10+ miles per day.

• Experience in operating forklifts, gradalls, or other lifts is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in carpentry and cleaning tasks.

Work Environment

Work within an expansive 2 million square foot Panasonic manufacturing facility, handling both indoor and outdoor material movement. Be prepared for a hot, non-climate-controlled environment with hours from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of De Soto, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
