Mechanic

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join a reputable manufacturing facility in Youngsville, LA. If you're mechanically inclined and experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment, we want to hear from you!

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Must be flexible - some overtime and weekend work as needed
• 40+ hours per week (depending on workload)

What You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Maintain and service equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, mills, air compressors, kilns, and more
• Move, install, and align machinery using blueprints and manuals
• Perform plumbing and pipefitting tasks on machinery and facility systems
• Operate threading machines and use gauges to measure/fit pipe threads
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
• Keep accurate records and perform tasks using basic computer tools

Requirements:

• Experience preferred (especially in machine shop equipment maintenance), but strong candidates will always be considered
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 4 years of relevant mechanical experience is preferred
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
