NSC Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Manufacturing - Mechanical Technician P3 (Welder) to join our team in the Goose Creek, South Carolina area. This role is ideal for a skilled welder experienced with aluminum and steel fabrication, precision welding to tight tolerances, and interpreting engineering drawings.

Position Overview:

As a Manufacturing Mechanical Technician - Welder, you will perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards. You will ensure quality compliance through inspection and verification processes, working in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts/assemblies to required tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and weld requirements.
• Set up welding equipment, select proper welding metals/alloys, and execute precision welds.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other procedures.
• Work in various environments, including confined spaces, high-temperature areas, and at heights with fall protection systems.
• Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, including PPE, respirator use, fall protection, and hazard communication standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years additional education and/or related experience

• OR Apprentice graduate/Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline with 3 years of related experience

• Welding certification may be required

Required Training & Certifications:

Confined Space Training - OSHA 29 CFR 1915 Subpart B Hazard Communication - OSHA 29 CFR 1915.1200 Respirator Qualification & Fit Test - OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 (MSA COMFO CLASSIC respirator) Fall Protection & Harness Use - OSHA 29 CFR 1915.159 and related standards PPE Training - OSHA 29 CFR 1915 Subpart I & Hearing Conservation - OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95 Hexavalent Chromium Medical Clearance Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy equipment (minimum of 30 lbs) Work in confined spaces, at heights, and in hot/humid environments Daily respirator use may be required Required PPE & Equipment:

• Flame-resistant long-sleeve coveralls
• 8" safety boots or leather safety shoes with spats
• Welding jacket and shield with leather bib
• White hard hat (Fiber Metal Type 1 Class C or MSA Skullgard Class A)
• ANSI Z87 safety glasses with side shields
• Banded/mounted hearing protection (Bilsom Leightning L1N)
