Equipment Operator

Responsible for the safe, efficient and quality-conscious unloading and loading of bulk and packaged commodities to or from storage piles, railcars, and trucks. Assure the work being performed consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the supervisor, as well as published policies and procedures of Kinder Morgan. Operator will be required to conduct pre-use inspections, and possible to be asked to complete simple mainteance functions.High school/GED; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Train to Operator D-9 Dozer and other heavy Equipment, i.e.: Front-end loader, Bobcat, Man-lift, and Track-hoe In order to appropriately perform the essential duties of this job, regular work attendance is required. Able to carry out supervisors instructions. Self-motivated. Safety in performance of duties common to the position. Ability to work with others. Must possess and maintain a valid driver vehicle license Must pass and complete any required Kinder Morgan specific safety training as may be required by Customers) and as required at all Kinder Morgan work locations. Must obtain and/or meet all requirements to enter foreign trade zones; such as background checks by both the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security, i.e. obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC). The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
