Job Description
Our Client, a Global Power Technology Leader company, is looking for a Mechanical Drafter 4 for their Fridley, MN/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
Review and approve detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment
Instruct staff to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems
Review and approve mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment. Review and approve dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials.
Approve schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
Act as subject matter expert to clients and review schematics and answer questions pertaining to installation of systems.
Must have minimum 5-8yrs CREO 7 (or higher) Schematic/Cabling experience.
Windchill experience is also required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
8-10 years experience required
Exercises independent judgment with little to no direction from supervisorSkills
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required)
Team player and detail oriented (Required)
Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models (Typically required)
Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Typically required)
Strong knowledge of relevant computer application, such as CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting; Typically required)
