Electrical / Controls Technician is part of the Engineering Resources Team for the Flush Door Division of VT Industries. Primary responsibilities will be focused on the Holstein Site with project or resource support for the other facilities as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Build, modify, or develop controls, integration, and electrical portions of manufacturing equipment.
Provide schematics / documentation of electrical control systems utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
Use electrical schematics to perform electrical system troubleshooting.
Participate in daily production team meetings
Discuss machine operation variations with managers or maintenance team members to diagnose problems or machine repair.
Read shop orders and maintain records of completed orders
Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
Operate a forklift and maintain a forklift license
Maintain a clean and organized workstation; complete 5S checklist
Work individually or with team members as assigned, maintaining a positive work environment

Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal
Ability to speak and hear, and walk through facilities
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required
Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties
Ability to climb up or down ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Ability to bend downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
