Construction Worker - $290per day (Queens) image 1 of 1 compensation: Salary:$290per day About the Role As a Construction Laborer you'll play a vital part in keeping DOHMH facilities safe and operational. Reporting to the Field &FacilityManager, you'll assist skilled trades staff with repairs, minor installations and emergency workhelping us deliver uninterrupted publichealth services to every NewYorker. Key Responsibilities Drive DOHMH vehicles to deliver tools, equipment and supplies to multiple job sites. Load and unload trucks; move furniture, materials and machinery (manual or with forklifts/pallet jacks). Organize and relocate office furniture, partitions and surplus inventory; assist with departmental moves. Perform basic demolition, cleanups and minor building repairs under supervision. Support licensed trades in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing and electrical tasks. Respond to building emergencies and participate in publichealth emergency activations. Maintain safe work practices and follow all DOHMH policies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with building maintenance, moving, or warehouse operations.
