Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical services on equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of precision alignment, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, and both preventative and predictive maintenance. You will be required to use hand tools and power tools daily, including grinders, saws, drill presses, and hydraulic pullers, and to perform welding tasks as necessary. Responsibilities Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility. Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, and precision maintenance tools. Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components, including electrical, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Modify or build equipment by reading and comprehending electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals. Document completed work and conditions found using maintenance computer software as necessary. Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork-focused environment. Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts. Essential Skills Troubleshooting Maintenance technician experience Mechanical skills Electrical skills Hydraulics knowledge Pneumatics knowledge Preventive maintenance Additional Skills & Qualifications High school degree or GED required 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred but not required Work Environment The position is onsite with a flexible schedule of either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with no weekend work. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
