Job Description

Join a reputable construction firm with over 25 years of experience, specializing in residential and multifamily projects. Known for its collaborative culture and commitment to quality craftsmanship, this firm is seeking a Superintendent of Construction for a Build-for-Rent community project in Noblesville and Westfield, IN. This is a two-year, fast-paced project involving the construction of 250 units, including duplexes, single-family homes, detached garages, and a community center with a pool. The role requires strong sequencing and site development expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations from an on-site trailer.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and trades using Procore.
  • Conduct weekly job meetings and maintain accountability.
  • Maintain daily logs and job documentation.
  • Track progress using three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Participate in the buyout process and review subcontractor bids for scope gaps.
  • Serve as the primary contact for owner representatives.
  • Lead a team of 45 site personnel, including assistant superintendents and laborers.
  • Ensure proper sequencing and familiarity with underground detention systems.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years as a lead superintendent with site development experience.
  • At least 7 years in the construction industry, ideally with traditional apartment or production home builders.
  • Strong experience with wood-framed construction.
  • Proficiency in Procore and construction scheduling tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Professional, client-facing demeanorpolished, polite, and effective.
  • Experience with three-week look-ahead scheduling.
  • Stable work history without frequent job changes every 1218 months.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with buyouts and subcontractor scope reviews.
  • experience in senior living or high-volume residential projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ownership of projects.
  • Familiarity with the local market and availability for in-person interviews.
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays.
Work Environment

The schedule is Monday to Friday, working 4050 hours per week depending on the project cycle. The position is based in an on-site trailer with field presence as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Noblesville, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
