Lead and supervise an underground wet utility crew on active job sites
Coordinate and direct daily crew activities, including excavation, pipe laying, backfilling, and site prep
Develop, communicate daily task plans. Ensure work is done on spec, on schedule, and in compliance
Set trench boxes, shoring, and other protective systems in a safety-compliant manner
Monitor work progress, perform quality control checks, and address issues as they arise
Serve as on-site point of contact for the Superintendent, relaying updates, needs, and concerns
Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance checks, and machinery servicing
Uphold safety standards. Actively participate in relevant safety meetings and site inspections
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operation in underground utility or related construction
Minimum 1 year experience leading, planning, setting daily tasks, coordinating a crew in the field
Demonstrated skill in technical trenching (mainline sewer, deep digs, high groundwater)
Ability to read and interpret blue prints, grade stakes, laser levels, and basic drawings
Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Treasure Valley
Strong work ethic, team player mentality, and pride in quality work
Preferred (Not Required)
CDL Class A
Certifications such as Trench Safety or OSHA 10/30
