Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment and machinery. Gathers and reviews data concerning equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates with engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings for new equipment and for equipment upgrades. Prepares equipment specifications and purchase requests for the acquision of machinery, major components and electrical test equipment. Manages installation, labor, material delivery, preparation, commissioning and training of new machinery and equipment. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Reviews/Writes Preventive Maintenance instructions for all equipment.
Assists maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems including, but not limited to, microcontrolers, programmable logic controllers, and variable frequency drives of all equipment and machinery in the shipyard.
Basic Qualifications2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering ; 0 years of professional experience with a Master's Degree
