We are seeking an Inconel Operator that will be responsible for performing any machine setups, adjustments, or minor maintenance in designated areas as necessary to ensure proper assembly equipment performance.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday overtime as needed
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am-3:00pm
Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sets up, adjusts and maintains clamp assembly equipment to meet production and customer quality requirements.
- Maintains good housekeeping and observes safe operating procedures at all times.
- Reads/interprets Work Orders, Travel Cards, drawings and schematics. Containing nonconforming products and completing RID. Labor Tickets. Documents are listed under the Packaging Document Center menu. Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, and HSE Website.
- Maintains equipment, production, and other records as required.
- Identifies/removes slip, trip, and fall hazards. Housekeeping, equipment, and workstation cleaning procedures.
- Understand PPE requirements. Light curtain and Machine guarding, as required.
- Uses calipers, torque gauges, and other precision instruments as required.
- Analyses and determines causes of equipment malfunctions and performs any minor maintenance repairs.
- Notifies supervisor of any irregularities associated with equipment, material, etc.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) in designated areas.
- Trains backup/replacement personnel and may provide work and quality direction to employees in training and temporaries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong technical skills in operating machinery used in the production of Inconel.
- Ability to troubleshoot and address technical issues.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure the production of high-quality Inconel components.
- Understanding of quality control processes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
- Physical dexterity for handling intricate components.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience required.
- Minimum one-year factory-related experience required.
- Experience using industrial tools: mechanic's hand tools, precision drill, precision instruments, power sander, power grinder, power forklift, safety glasses, lubricants, etc, required.
- Familiarity with welding is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
- May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to comply with overtime requirements.
