We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural/Bridge Inspector to join our team in the Cameron, LA area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our structural/bridge building projects. Non-exempt role; Reports to the QA/QC Manager; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Per diem included for those who qualify

Job duration: up to 12 months

Essential Qualifications:

CWI Certification with a Bridge Inspection endorsement

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a structural/bridge inspector

Thorough knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interpret and explain complex construction plans and specifications

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team

Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy

Comply with company and client job site safety requirements

Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Conducting regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications; Identifying and reporting any non-conformances or potential safety hazards; Maintaining accurate and detailed inspection records; Providing technical support to construction crews as needed; Working closely with project managers to ensure smooth progress of construction projects; Participating in construction meetings and communicating inspection results to stakeholders; Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing / data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
