Pipefitter Job Description Join our team as a Pipefitter where you will map, measure, and install industrial piping, including compressed air, process, and discharge piping. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems according to specifications and codes, and reading and interpreting isometric drawings and schematics to determine layout requirements. Responsibilities Map, measure, and install industrial piping systems. Install and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes. Read and interpret isometric drawings and schematics for layout requirements. Perform tube bending and pipe threading for various projects. Commission newly installed lines and make necessary adjustments. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion. Operate power tools safely and effectively during installation. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at construction sites and industrial plants. Essential Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation. 5+ years of industrial/commercial pipefitting experience. Strong experience with tig welding and construction. Familiarity with pipe welding, threading, and brazing. OSHA 10 or 30 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with industrial and commercial pipefitting. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations. Ability to collaborate effectively with construction professionals. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work will be conducted on industrial and commercial job sites in Rochester from Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm. There is an openness to out-of-town work, which constitutes 5% to 10% of jobs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
