I'm restoring a 1964.5 Mustang convertible and need an experienced welder/fabricator with classic car sheetmetal experience. This is a valuable classic the work must be structurally sound and cosmetically clean after grinding. Work can be day or night, weekdays or weekends. I am an OK welder, but there are hundreds of hours of work here and I need the help. I have a pretty darn good metal and welding shop setup. I have an ESAB Tri-process machine, and a Lincoln Pro-MIG 175 and all the wire sizes Scope of Work: Left inner frame rail has been replaced now time to weld in the left floor pan. New torque box already in, but need to be smartly sealed up. With structure restored, proceed to right frame rail and floorboards Engine apron welding Partial left quarter panel TIG welding Rear closure panel repair Some rear frame work Requirements: Experience welding classic/unibody sheetmetal (MIG and TIG) High-quality butt welds (no visible lap joints under carpet or from underside) Ability to grind and finish welds to near-invisible quality Strong structural welding skills with an eye for detail and originality Details: Work is at my shop I supply utilities, materials, and equipment if needed Cash paid upon completion or in staged milestones Independent contractor arrangement Please with your welding/fabrication experience, photos of past restoration work (before/after if possible), and availability.
