Structural Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Structural Welders for projects located in and around Tipton, IA . This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $27/hour based on experience plus $100/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Perform MIG welding using 1/16 metal core wire

• Fit and prep structural steel from blueprints prior to welding

• Read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and perform shop math

• Ensure welds meet D1.1 code compliance and quality standards

• Work efficiently in a high-output structural steel shop environment

Requirements:

• • Minimum 4 years of welding experience in the field

  • Previous D1.1 certification (must provide proof)

  • Must pass onsite D1.1 weld test (administered 1st shift before starting 2nd shift)

  • Proficient in blueprint reading, measuring, and shop math

  • Strong fitting/layout skills from blueprints
