Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer/Engineer to support the design and documentation of building projects from concept through construction. This role involves producing high-quality construction drawings, performing structural analysis and design, and ensuring compliance with client specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop structural designs, calculations, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Produce and oversee construction and production drawings.
  • Conduct structural analysis and ensure design accuracy and safety.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs.
  • Collect and incorporate field data into design work.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks.
  • Maintain organized and accurate design files.
  • Manage projects within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Adhere to organizational standards, including file management protocols.

Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit software.
  • Experience in structural analysis.
  • Ability to draft and design structures.
  • Possession of an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience at a multi-disciplinary firm offering architecture, civil engineering and land planning, structural engineering, building sciences, and historic preservation is ideal.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
