Install glass components for buildings. Some glaziers may work with larger, heavier panes during major construction projects, while others might concentrate on more decorative applications, such as tabletops and room dividers. They may be asked to remove old or broken glass, cut new glass to a particular size and shape, or craft moldings before securing the new pane.
Glaziers must be competent at following and interpreting blueprints and/or specifications because they are responsible for a wide variety of fixtures including sunrooms, glass doors, and skylights. Additionally, some work with glass substitutes, such as granite or marble for countertops.
