Laborer Jobs in Hawaii
Perform basic tasks on site that require significant physical activity. One of the most essential functions laborers are responsible for is cleaning up and preparing construction sites before and after work each day to maintain a safe and organized work environment. They also load and unload materials, install markers to shift traffic patterns around the worksite, and assist craft workers as necessary. They follow plans and instructions from supervisors and other higher-ranking personnel.
Laborers do not require much training, but may still perform a variety of tasks with a wide range of supplies, including simple tools like shovels and more complex equipment such as pavement breakers or jackhammers. The most common types of projects they are involved in are building or tearing down structures, constructing roadways, and digging tunnels and mineshafts.
