Land acquisition personnel conduct land opportunity assessments to determine potentially high-profit sites for development. They collect data for and present packages that include information such as specific details about the site and market analysis. They are also involved in coordinating the due diligence process to search for any problems with the property.
Land acquisition employees must have strong communication skills, as they must interact with banks, developers, and property owners to negotiate contracts. They must also be proficient with written correspondence to compose letters of intent making potential sellers an offer for their land.
