We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to successfully manage onsite supervision, administration and technical management of health care construction projects. These projects will include Acute Care, Ambulatory Care, and MOB settings managing healthcare construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for the start-up through completion of health care construction projects as it relates to the job sites activities including subcontractor schedules, placement and supervision of manpower, delivery of materials and utilization of equipment for successful completion. Supervises and ensures projects are completed on time, at or under budget, to meet company performance standards, customer specifications and client satisfaction.
This position requires a minimum of five years as a Superintendent in Heath Care Construction including OSHPD experience. Extensive knowledge and experience with commercial construction practices including reading blueprints and working with construction materials, methods and construction layout is required. Must have a firm knowledge of cost control, current commercial building codes and demonstrated manpower planning to coordinate and manage project schedules.
Experienced in working within the construction trades and the ability to develop and maintain outstanding relations with labor and subcontractors. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the construction process and health and safety procedures. Strong scheduling and organizational skills and acute attention to the important details on every project is essential. Proven track record in managing aggressive schedules and meeting all deadlines. The Superintendent is responsible for working closely with the project management team and hospital building staff throughout the process to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
This position will involve traveling to various construction sites within the SF Bay Area using a personal automobile or company vehicle. As such, our employees must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal insurance coverage with the appropriate automotive liability limits. Upon hire, and on a periodic basis, Peacock Construction participates in a system that regularly checks Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all employees who may need to drive as part of their job.
