Job Description


Job Type Full-time Description

Plan and schedule project, including short interval schedules.

Schedule manpower and determine crew sizes based on the estimates and project schedule.

Monitor job progress by managing subcontractors, solving problems, using proper documentation, implementing quality and safety control techniques on the job.

Manage project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs.

Determine & generate material take off & coordinate purchase of materials.

Approve & submit subcontractor invoices for payment to A/P Clerk.

Secure necessary permits.

Order dumpsters.

Demonstrate superior construction process knowledge.

Coordinate inspection of property with city/bank inspectors.

Obtain & submit Certificate of Completion to Admin. Ass't. at conclusion of project.

Communicate with estimator weekly to provide status on all jobs.

Ensure that all parties understand the importance of safety on the project and follow OSHA requirements.

Upon customer approval, install yard sign.

Ensure customer satisfaction by recognizing and meeting all the client's needs.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field. OR equivalent work expierence
  • Experience: 5+ years of significant experience in the commercial construction field.
  • Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 10 (or above) certificate is a plus.
  • Familiarity in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, PlanGrid, and CMiCis a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of the construction process
  • Basic tool understanding, handling and operation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must possess ground up construction knowledge and experience.
  • Technology literate, familiarity in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Organized and able to multi-task
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective coaching, leadership skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift (occasionally) 5-100 lbs.. May involve significant stand/walk/push/pull
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud from occasional to frequent times.

Work Requirements:

  • 7:00am - 5:00pm on the job and/or available by phone
  • Employee is expected to work weekends, when necessary/job demands it.
  • Employee is expected to be on-call (at least by phone) upon needs of estimator
