Discovering your exciting role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed technical drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. The role requires an understanding of engineering principles, strong technical drawing skills, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and other professionals to produce high-quality, accurate designs for manufacturing.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation related to new product introduction, including design specifications, process instructions, and test reports.
• Manage and maintain process for item configurations, ensuring accuracy and consistency of design documentation, drawing packages, and routers
• Perform quality checks and validation of CAD models and drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with project managers to establish timelines and ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
• Maintain and organize CAD libraries, templates, and reference materials for team use.
• Support engineers and designers by providing technical assistance with CAD software.
• Identify and suggest improvements to current CAD processes for increased efficiency.
• Keep abreast of Semiconductor industry trends and technologies.
• Participate in groups to review and implement new and emerging technology.

• Safety glasses and other required protection should be worn when out in the production area.
• Sitting for long periods of time may be required.

Educational Requirements:

• An associate’s degree/certificate in CAD, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in CAD drafting or a related technical field.

Skills and Proficiencies:

• Proficiency in Autodesk CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor, with expertise in 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical structures and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and Engineering Change Orders
• Familiarity with configurations management a plus
• Attention to detail for producing accurate and error-free designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.

What can you expect

The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the Manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. Safety glasses and other required safety protection should be worn when out in the manufacturing facility, which may vary depending on the area you are working/visiting.
