Job Summary:
The Facilities Management Administration at Quillen College of Medicine is seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team under general supervision. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipe systems, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment across the campus. You will also be tasked with performing various plumbing-related duties as required, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and functionality of all plumbing systems.
This position requires flexibility as you must be able to work any shift or schedule, with overtime as needed. Additionally, employees may be asked to report for essential functions, such as snow removal, during emergency closures or inclement weather. PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Climbing (ladders, steps, scaffolds)
- Physical Movements (crawl, bend, twist, squat, kneel)
- Lifting & Pulling (up to 50 lbs.on a repetitive basis)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of plumbing.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of all plumbing materials.
- Ability to use tools required in the plumbing trade.
- Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of a standard apprenticeship in the plumbing trade or five (5) years of field experience
- A valid Drivers License is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Plumbing License
Salary:
$18.43 an hour
