Job SummaryThe Engineering Project Assistant (EPA) is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and assisting engineers with administrative, documentation, process and general engineering related support activities. The EPA must demonstrate the ability to assist multiple engineers, providing a wide range of administrative and computer skills to support engineering projects. Typical assignments include word processing, data entry and preliminary document preparation utilizing computing resources, change management process, requirements capture, metrics, etc. The EPA performs project non-technical duties and acts as a process and tool expert for engineering design teams. The EPA must possess strong organization and analytical skills, as well as the ability to coordinate and lead activities.

Essential Job FunctionsProvide general project support including scheduling meetings, handling quick turn requests, monitoring upcoming needs and proactively preparing for future deadlines.Prepare and draft documents, coordinate reviews, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.Collect metrics, compile and analyze data to generate reports, statistics, and presentations as needed.Identify opportunities for process improvement within project functions and assist in implementing solutions.Collaborate with other EPAs and team members to provide seamless support across functions as needed.Work with cross-functional teams to edit/format documentation. Provide support to the change control and peer review process. Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools. Generate reports as required.Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise. May serve as a liaison between engineering teams and management.Build productive working relationships internally and externally on occasion. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.Work on moderately difficult assignments, which are given in terms of objectives to be accomplished, and priorities to be followed. Requires judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.Complete assignments and tasks independently. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.Other duties may be assigned.
