Farnsworth Group is seeking a Survey Crew Chief in one of the below posting locations. We will consider a candidate throughout the state of Ohio. Qualified candidates will perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout. This is not a contract position; we are looking to fill a permanent position where you will have the opportunity to establish or advance your career. Posting Locations for this role: Cleveland, OH; Dayton, OH; or Statewide OH Job Activities:
- Perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys in accordance with the current ALTA/ NSPS Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
- Perform topographic surveys of small sites to large farm surveys with ATVs
- Conduct Construction Layout for site development, commercial/ retail, residential, industrial/ warehouse, subdivisions, municipal and transportation
- Perform As-Built Pipeline Surveys
- Perform 3D Scanning, UAV and drone surveys
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of property surveys, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout
- Proficiency with Trimble GPS, Total Station and Data Collectors
- Mentors staff, participates in training, and prioritizes Farnsworths Safety Culture
- Communicates with their supervisor or project manager on a consistent, daily basis
- Ability to organize field notes
- Ability to read construction plans
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team setting
- Experience performing Boundary Research, preferred
- Ability to execute field staking
- Strong math skills
- Ability to travel 80% required in this position
- Valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance
- Ability to work outside in a wide variety of weather and terrain conditions
- Ability to regularly lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 100 pounds
- PLSS monumentation retracement experience
- Oil & Gas Pipeline experience
- DOT experience
- UAV license
- FAA 107 license
