Cherokee Casino Roland is searching for an experienced Stationary Engineer to join our growing team! The Stationary Engineer is a critical role responsible for ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of a facility's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This position demands a skilled technician capable of managing complex systems, including direct digital controls and computer monitoring software. The engineer will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair malfunctions, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards. They will also provide technical evaluations, training, and documentation related to the facility's mechanical systems.

System Operation and Maintenance:
Operate and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems, including direct digital controls and computer monitoring software.
Perform preventative maintenance, including lubrication, calibration, and part replacement.
Maintain proper chemical treatments for boiler, chilled, and cooling tower water.
Ensure proper hydronic circulation and perform piping work.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Locate and determine malfunctions using test equipment.
Stop, start, adjust, and regulate equipment.
Observe, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain auxiliary equipment.
Perform technical evaluations and adjustments of boilers, chillers, fans, and controls.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all safety regulations and relevant codes are followed.
Maintain knowledge of and adhere to building codes.
Knowledge of electrical lock out/tag out and PPE usage.
Inspect work performed by outside contractors for compliance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain written records and reports of work performed.
Record instrument readings and other information in logbooks.
Provide end-of-service life information on equipment.
Training and Assistance:
Provide training, instruction, guidance, and assistance to others.
Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Project Management:
Manage multiple projects without direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
Stationary Engineer OR Boiler Operator License required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating and maintaining complex HVAC systems, central chiller plant operations, electrical systems, and reading schematics.
EPA Technician Certificate Universal (CFC/HCFC refrigerant processing) required.
State-issued HVAC Mechanical License preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating and maintaining direct digital controls and computer systems.
Knowledge of mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing trades.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
Knowledge of large HVAC and central plant systems.
Knowledge of large chiller (1000+ ton) and large boiler (100+ hp) systems.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license.
Hepatitis B shot.
Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
Ability to work outside of normal work hours for emergencies.
