include but are not limited to Inspection & TestingConduct on site detailed inspections of electrical work including materials installation testing calibration and commissioning to ensure compliance with engineering plans specifications codes and standardsVerify that electrical equipment and components such as electrical panels switchgears transfer switches transformers photovoltaic cells and equipment lighting fixtures and controls and other power and communication equipment meet material specifications quality and safety standardsEnsure that construction practices and material installation comply with applicable local and national codes and regulatory requirementsWitness andor perform tests of electrical continuity cable insulation resistance and system grounding in compliance with engineering plansConduct Final System Acceptance walkthroughsComplete punch listing logsDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate and thorough records of inspections including daily reports checklists and photographsPrepare and submit comprehensive inspection reports highlighting any deviations from specifications or standards and recommending corrective actionsDocument non conformance issues and follow up to ensure they are addressed and resolvedCoordination & SupervisionCoordinate with project managers architects contractors and other stakeholders to address and resolve any issues related to electrical quality and complianceCommunicate findings and recommendations effectively to ensure that project teams understand and implement necessary changesParticipate in meetings and discussions related to project progress quality control and safetyCompliance & SafetyEnsure that all electrical work complies with applicable building codes safety regulations and industry standardsMonitor on site safety practices and ensure that all personnel adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment PPE as requiredIdentify potential safety hazards related to electrical elements and recommend measures to mitigate risksContinuous ImprovementParticipate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards for electrical inspectionsProvide feedback and recommendations for improving quality control processes and proceduresStay current with industry trends advancements in technology and regulatory changes to continuously improve quality standardsPerforms other related work as assignedMinimum requirements Bachelors degree in electrical engineering construction management or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection quality control or a related fieldRelevant certifications in inspection such as Electrical Inspector Certification or equivalent are highly desirableAbility to use various electrical test and measurement equipment including voltage and amperage meters conductivity meter power supplies and megger insulation testersAbility to review and interpret project electrical drawings and technical documents including communications pump stations single line diagrams and electric panel schedulesAbility to review and interpret other engineering discipline drawings and technical documents including utility architectural mechanical and fire protectionKnowledge of electrical and safety building codes systems and trade practicesKnowledge of low and high voltage power systems protection and controlsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate findings to various stakeholdersWork independently with limited supervisionTechnical requirements Ability to write technical reportsWeb based storage systemsThorough understanding of document control systemsComputer literateKnowledge and understanding of QCQA Materials Engineering and construction activities preferredOther miscellaneous qualities Ability and willingness to commute to project site locations to perform workThis role involves on site inspections documentation and reporting to verify that all electrical work including materials installation testing calibration and commissioning meet quality
