Superintendent; Salary Range $75-120k DOE

  • Assist the General Superintendent with set-up for new projects with trailers, electricity, sewer
  • Ensure all SWPPP is properly set up and maintained daily and weekly
  • Ensure traffic control is installed per the plans and maintained daily
  • Conduct and participate in safety meetings every morning with the General Superintendent
  • Report safety meeting minutes back to General Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Attend and participate in scheduled project meetings
  • Prepare progress report for scheduled project meetings
  • Provide input for Project schedule to General Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Familiarity with all aspects of a project estimate
  • Request job budget information from General Superintendent and Project Management
  • Ensure trucking tickets and delivery tickets are properly coded against correct item numbers
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
  • Provide daily reports and hours to General Superintendent and Project Management showing quantities installed for the day, manpower used, equipment on site and materials received.
  • Assist General Superintendent with ensuring monthly quantity billings match quantity of City Inspectors by meeting with City Inspector at end of month
  • Assist General Superintendent with managing manpower against budget manhours
  • Assist General Superintendent with managing equipment needs and daily equipment maintenance
  • Assist General Superintendent with all manpower needs and schedules, coordinating needs and availability with other project superintendents
  • Ensure line supervision is using latest issued plans and specifications
  • Ensure line supervision understands critical details of work activities
  • Inform Project Management of need for change orders based on scope of work changes
  • Assist in estimating change orders with Project Manager and General Superintendent
  • Ensure materials installed are in accordance with the approved submittals for the job and QC measures are being met
  • Manage trucking requirements for the job. Ensure truckers are working as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure time sheets are properly coded and turned into the General Superintendent by the required deadline
  • Ensure Daily Reports and Delivery Tickets are delivered by the required deadline.
  • Assist General Superintendent with all personnel issues including job classifications, hourly wages
  • Make sure One-Calls made every week
  • Other duties as required to ensure successful project execution
  • Must have familiarity with electronic correspondence such as sending and receiving emails.
  • Preferred Candidate would have City of Corpus Christi experience.
  • TxDOT experience is a plus but not necessary.
