Airswift is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on an initial 12-month assignment with a leader in the Chemical industry.

Electrical Project Engineers design and develop electrical systems and work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. They review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance on projects. Electrical Project Engineers provide technical expertise for the electrical engineering process. They collaborate with other engineering departments and coordinate their specialized contributions to the development of a project. Provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization.

Responsibilities:

Leads the electrical engineering design effort on projects

Work with engineering teams to develop electrical systems on projects

Estimates cost, personnel and material needs for preparing proposals and establishes completion dates for projects.

Oversees and reviews electrical specifications and designs:

Oversee and review design of drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software.

Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.

Creates the instructions necessary for systems to function.

Develops and implements Policies, Procedures and Guidelines in their area of specialization.

Supports the direction of workers on project construction sites to ensure projects are constructed according to specific designs

Guides project installation and commissioning on final load testing

Ensures projects conform with federal, state, local and company engineering standards and specifications

Analyzes test results of electrical installations and equipment

Monitors progress and performance against the project plan and ensures project assignments are completed on time.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

5-7 years of professional experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within a chemical plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

Strong knowledge and experience in electrical system design, installation, and maintenance, including power distribution, control systems, and safety protocols.

Hands-on experience with SAP for material management, work orders, and procurement.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project for project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.

Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).

Experience in capital project execution, including managing timelines, budgets, and working cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a chemical plant or heavy industrial facility.

Knowledge of automation systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and control systems.

Familiarity with plant maintenance systems and work management processes.

Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or equivalent experience is a plus.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification is preferred, but not required.
