Courthouse Project Coordinator CL 28

The Courthouse Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of courthouse construction projects. This position reports directly to the Space and Facilities Director. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and overseeing project schedules, ensuring timely completion according to the proposed schedule.
• Coordinating with and serving as a contact for architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies accordingly.
• Ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
• Ensuring adherence to building codes, regulations, safety standards, and any applicable federal government regulations, statutes, rules, etc.
• Conducting site inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues on a regular basis or as needed.
• Overseeing quality assurance measures and contract specifications.
• Managing subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Addressing conflicts and facilitating resolutions.
• Maintaining detailed project records, reports, and progress updates.
• Communicating project milestones and challenges to stakeholders.
• Ensuring all necessary permits and approvals are secured.
• Conducting final inspections to ensure all work meets contract specifications.
• Overseeing punch list completion and verifying contractor obligations are fulfilled.

Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering. Requires a minimum of five years of progressively responsible project management work experience in architectural and/or construction disciplines. Requires experience in developing design programs, reviewing construction documents and estimates, and resolving related issues from preliminary design through construction for complex architectural projects. Familiarity with courthouse or other public sector construction projects, the Federal General Services Administration regulations (GSA P-100), and the U.S. Court Design Guide is desirable. This position is available for one year and a day with the possibility of extension.
