Capital Project Coordinator

Where will you work: This is a hybrid role. Presently, our capital projects team works 3 to 4 days onsite and 1 to 2 days from home each week. The successful candidate will work out of our FishHawk location (13830 Circa Crossing Drive | Lithia, FL 33547 and work at projects at the following sites: Bartow, Bonnie Facility, Green Bay, New Wales, and Nichols. As a capital project coordinator, you are eligible to participate in our 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!!

Mosaic is looking for a project coordinator for our capital projects team! In this role, you'll play a key part in coordinating, planning, and implementing capital projects that drive our strategic initiatives. You'll develop project scopes, manage bidding activities, oversee work execution, ensure job safety, and handle cost management. You'll also coordinate with other plant activities, review and authorize work permits, and conduct audits, safety observations, and inspections. Projects will vary and may include industrial water treatment systems, truck loading stations, construction of impoundments and storage ponds, and supporting new product development like pilot scale systems.

What youll do:

  • Execute and manage projects including scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, contractor management, and all aspects of construction.

  • Follow Mosaics Capital Project Management (CPM) road map for project initiation/concept through engineering design, including development of engineering work packages and engineering proposals (RFQs/RFPs).

  • Collaborate with Mosaics engineering group.

  • Prepare and present project status reports to Mosaic Leadership.

  • Manage construction issues, attend meetings, track, and resolve RAIs and RFIs submittals through the project lifecycle using Mosaics document control process.

  • Collaborate with Mosaics Procurement team on pre-bid meetings, evaluation of bids, pre-award meetings, purchase orders, etc.

  • Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, etc.

  • Supervise and manage contracts to ensure Mosaics quality, risk management, budget, schedule, and standards are adhered to.

  • Work with Mosaics Project Controls team for forecasting/accruals and finance management.

  • Work with Mosaic Project Scheduler to monitor schedule and validate progress.

  • Travel to job sites for construction monitoring and progress (20 to 30%).

What youll need:

  • Associates degree in project management or related field

  • 5+ years of experience working on large scale construction projects and management of engineering consultants, contractors, and contracting firms

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects such as: geotechnical, civil, water, surveying, mine planning, permitting, reclamation, operations, safety

  • Ability to build connections with team members, customers, and contractors

  • Knowledge of surveying and ability to interpret construction plans

  • People management, leadership, and communication skills
