Safety Manager
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Conduct organized and professional administration of a comprehensive safety program
Ensure compliance with applicable law and safety requirements for worksite conditions, processes, training, inspections, and auditing
Ensure that installation, operation, maintenance operations and support departments receive excellent service in safety program administration, guidance, and support
Ensure that the company maintains effective and independent administration of compliance and tracking of training, inspections, and audits through our cloud-based system
Identify and eliminate injury possibilities
Perform routine site safety audits and inspections
Report on safety status, findings, and progress
Conduct training sessions for company corporate and technical employees
Audit and evaluate safety of construction, service, and warehouse locations of the project
Develop reports with action items and follow up to ensure completion of action items
Analyze accident/incident trends and develop/implement recommendations to improve safety behaviors and safety record
Write policies and procedures in organized, clear, compliant, and professional manner
Represent the company and provide expert guidance through inspections by regulatory agencies and insurance companies
Respond quickly to reports of safety incidents, manage investigations, and remedial actions
Ensure that the Health and Safety Plan is accurate, effective, and compliant
Manage the responsibility for establishment and maintenance of effective communication and coordination with company personnel and all levels of Management
Establish and maintain good working relationships with the peers, management, and site personnel
Prepare, maintain and submit site-specific safety documentation
Qualifications:
An associates or bachelors degree in engineering or safety from a college or relevant HSE experience in an industrial construction environment or industrial operating facility
Minimum 3 years of safety experience
Experience managing construction safety programs
Experience providing expert guidance through regulatory inspections and subsequent actions
Minimum OSHA 510/511 Certification, CHST preferred
Operations are in secured areas of airports. Ability to pass background checks to the extent required by airport authorities is required
