Under general guidance of the Master Plumber and management, repairs and maintains machinery and
mechanical, electronic, plumbing and electrical equipment.
This position will be located at St. John Providence- Southfield, MI.
Responsibilities Demonstrates personal commitment to the organization s core values through active involvement in thequality improvement process.
• Demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules, works to prevent unsafe conditions
and behaviors, and participates in organizational and departmental safety programs.
• Maintains daily contact with management to report general status of activities in the afternoon shift.
• Assembles, installs, adjusts, repairs, and maintains complex or specialized plumbing systems, lift
stations, sump systems, sanitary and storm systems. Provides maintenance/repair to domestic water
systems including potable water and reverse-osmosis systems.
• Repairs and maintains a variety of plumbing equipment and fixtures, such as valves, faucets, toilets,
basins, garbage disposals, water tanks, and lawn sprinklers.
• Performs metal fabricating, brazing, cutting and repairs using as and electrical welders.
• Assists Master Plumber of their duties and responsibilities.
• Performs snow removal duties and spreads salt on hospital driveways, entrances, and walkways as
assigned.
• Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.

Personal Protective Equipment:
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Required Credential(s):
• Journey Plumber required.
Education:
• High School graduate or equivalent required. Attendance at hospital equipment training schools.
Work Experience:
• Four years as Licensed Journey Plumber required
