As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for thedesign, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systemsfor armored vehicles. You will work on integrating video systems, OEMcomponents, hydraulic systems, lighting, control systems, and CAN-basednetworks. This role requires knowledge in circuit design, wiringschematics, bench testing, and the development of continuous improvementstrategies. Additionally, you will work with OEM suppliers to ensureseamless integration of their components and troubleshoot any electricalissues in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS: - Lead the integration of electrical systems into armoredvehicles, including video systems, OEM components, lighting, andhydraulic systems, to ensure compatibility and optimal functionality. -Collaborate with OEMs to integrate third-party components (e.g.,cameras, sensors, lighting) into the vehicle\'s electrical architecture,ensuring all systems meet operational requirements. - Develop and managenew circuit board designs, including schematic diagrams, componentselection, and circuit layout for vehicle control systems, lighting, andother electrical subsystems. - Create detailed wiring schematics anddiagrams for electrical systems, ensuring clear documentation forassembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Troubleshoot and resolveelectrical issues across various vehicle subsystems. This includesdiagnosing complex electrical issues and collaborating withcross-functional teams to implement effective solutions. - Design andconduct bench tests for new electrical circuits to ensure they meetdesign specifications and functionality before deployment. -Troubleshoot and resolve issues with OEM CAN (Controller Area Network)systems, ensuring proper communication between various vehiclesubsystems. - Drive the continuous improvement of electrical systems,developing more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. Thisincludes evaluating new technologies and processes for implementation. -Work closely with mechanical engineers, systems engineers, andproduction teams to ensure smooth integration and functionality ofelectrical systems. - Support the project lifecycle from conceptualdesign through to production, ensuring that electrical integrationrequirements are met on time and within budget. - Ensure all electricalsystems comply with relevant safety standards, military specifications,and industry regulations. INTERACTION WITH: - Various levels of internalstaff within a variety of departments - Customers and vendors - Sales,Production, Quality, Tech Services, and Purchasing DepartmentsEXPERIENCE: - Two plus (2+) years of electrical engineering experience -One plus (1+) years in an Engineering role in a manufacturingenvironment. EDUCATION: - Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronicsor related Engineering field KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Experiencewith SolidWorks Electrical - Experience with Solidworks design softwarea plus - Proficient with Microsoft desktop applications (i.e. Excel,Word, PowerPoint) - Citizenship Requirements (ITAR Export Controls) -Automotive background - New product development - Research anddevelopment - Hands on experience with welding, fabricating, machining,automotive/industrial painting, and/or production assembly work is aplus
