Essential Functions:
- Provide and support a safe working environment for all employees in Versailles.
- Provide and support safe, reliable, ergonomic systems and machines.
- High level knowledge and support of Automated manufacturing systems.
- Designs, develops, implements, and modifies production equipment, procedures and processes for cost effective and efficient operations.
- Ensure equipment and layouts are compliant with current OSHA guidelines.
- Write detailed technical specifications for projects, equipment, and processes.
- Resource management and support for maintenance personnel and vendors.
- System/Project design, costing and implementation from concept to completion to include capital improvement programs
- Coordinate all project activities to ensure that project timing, quality, and cost targets are attained.
- Supervise and/or direct contractors, suppliers, or other technical people as required.
- Design new equipment or redesign existing equipment and coordinate its fabrication, assembly, installation & confirm startup.
- Conduct equipment training for plant or other personnel as required.
- Provide training and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance.
- All other duties as assigned
Scope/Dimensions:
- Single site manufacturing location with 3 shift operation, supplying finished goods to Tier 1 Automotive OEM and Tier 2 customers.
- Actively participating in problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve KPI goals.
- Relies on experience and understanding of glass and plastics processes and written customer requirements to determine proper actions.
- Demands and priorities need adjusted regularly to provide a high level of service under tight timelines to several “customers” internally or externally.

Qualifications Required:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient with 2D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD
- Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, push, pull, carry, lift, squat, kneel and/or twist
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience with Fanuc or ABB robotic systems
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems, including both pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Experience with technical writing (procedures, training guidelines, specifications)
- Basic knowledge of control systems
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Ability to design for maintainability
Salary Range: $77,472-$116,220
