Construction Operations Manager

Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service is hiring a driven, hands-on leader to take our construction operations to the next level.

As our Construction Operations Manager , you'll oversee all aspects of landscape construction and enhancement projectsfrom planning and resource management to on-site execution and team performance. This role combines tactical field leadership with strategic oversight to ensure every project is delivered safely, on time, and to Piscataqua Landscaping's standards. You will be empowered to fine-tune and evolve operational systems while mentoring and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage and lead construction crews to ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely execution of landscape construction projects
• Oversee day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, equipment deployment, materials planning, and subcontractor coordination
• Partner with the construction estimator and account managers to conduct pre-construction planning, budgeting, and resourcing planning
• Monitor job progress through site visits and field reports to ensure safety, quality control, and client satisfaction
• Evaluate crew performance regularly and implement training and development plans to grow field leadership
• Foster a strong team culture by setting clear expectations, delivering constructive feedback, and supporting crew success
• Track and manage field costs, labor hours, and material usage to maintain profitability and meet budget goals
• Assist in developing and improving operational systems and project workflows
• Regularly review departmental equipment to ensure it is properly used, well-maintained, and meets the needs of the department; assist in planning for major equipment replacement
• Participate in snow operations during the winter season as needed

• 5+ years of experience in landscape construction, site work, or a related field, including team supervision
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage construction projects from start to finish
• Strong communication and leadership skills; you set the tone and lead by example
• Highly organized with solid time management, scheduling, and budgeting capabilities
• Comfortability with (or willingness to learn) technology
• Valid drivers license and insurable driving record
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
