Pay rate: $32 - $35 hourly
Summary:
Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer and immerse yourself in the exciting field of electrification. You will play a crucial role in lab testing electric drive components and systems, focusing on performance and durability testing, as well as investigating failures and their root causes. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, controls, simulation, and facility design, while enhancing your knowledge of motor and generator fundamentals.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Conduct detailed inspections and root cause investigations into motor and generator failures. This hands-on work includes electrical checks, visual inspections, x-ray reviews, and material and fluid analysis.
Collaborate closely with engineers, receiving ongoing mentorship and oversight of inspection activities.
Spend approximately 30% of your time at a desk and 70% in the lab, conducting inspections and electrical checks.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering.
1-2 years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
Experience in electrical testing.
Product development experience.
Proficiency in failure analysis.
